3rd National Maritime Institute International FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament Successfully Completed

The 3rd National Maritime Institute (NMI) International FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament 2026 (FIDE Event 495575) concluded with resounding success in Chattogram, hosted by the National Maritime Institute in technical collaboration with CCPA and Chattogram Chess Academy. Competing under an international rapid time control of ten minutes plus a five-second increment from move one, rated veterans and emerging academy students battled through intense Swiss-system rounds to earn official FIDE rapid rating points. Academy Founder Rakibul Islam Shachchu served as Chief Organizer alongside National Player Md. Ataur Rahman as Tournament Organizer and National Arbiter Md. Nurul Amin as Chief Arbiter. The event underscored our academy mission of bringing regular, world-standard FIDE-sanctioned competitions directly to Chattogram so local players can test their opening preparation, tactical sharpness, and endgame technique under real tournament pressure.
