About Rakibul Islam Shachchu
Awarded the Arena FIDE Master (AFM) title in 2016 and licensed as an official FIDE National Arbiter in January 2020, Shachchu has dedicated his career to building a world-standard chess ecosystem in the commercial capital of Bangladesh.
With more than 30 organized and officiated international, national, and youth FIDE rating tournaments to his name—including the Leonine U-20 International Championship, the NMI Rapid Rating series, and the CCPA Classical Chess League—Shachchu has created verified FIDE rating pathways for hundreds of aspiring players. His mentorship instills classical opening mastery, endgame triangulation, absolute touch-move discipline, and institutional sportsmanship.
